The beauty of amber has been preserved for millions of years, and when polished its lustre can be retained indefinitely. Amber is susceptible to chemicals and should not be worn while applying perfumes or hairspray. Amber Jewelry should not be stored where it can come up against metal or other jewelry. Keep it clear of household chemicals and cleaning materials. Don’t let it come into contact with butters and oils in the kitchen also. When not being worn Amber Jewelry is best kept out of the sun light in a Jewelry box.
Hot and cold temperatures can damage the Amber and it should not be worn during hard physical work such as gardening.
Clean the amber with a clean cloth soaked in luke warm water. It can then be dried and rubbed with clear olive oil and then rubbed dry with a soft cloth.
